Thomas Edwards
Spanish
Thomas Edwards is a Spanish Interpreter and translator graduating from Winthrop University with a bachelor’s in Spanish and psychology in 2015. From a young age, Thomas has had a fascination with languages and in high school began to focus on learning Spanish to communicate with the growing Spanish-speaking population of the United States. During college, Thomas was able to study Spanish abroad in Costa Rica and Spain. Since 2018, Thomas has worked as an independent contractor providing Spanish interpretation and translation services for Lexington School District Two and joined their staff full-time between September 2021 and June 2025. During that time, he worked with staff and Spanish-speaking families to bridge the linguistic and cultural barriers hindering their engagement in their student’s academics, special education services, and discipline.
Thomas also currently works at Reynolds Fence and Guardrail and helps Spanish and English speaking employees communicate. When not working, he enjoys cooking, reading, riding his bike and walking his dogs. He lives with his girlfriend Evan McNall who teaches first grade at Cayce Elementary along with their two dogs Parker and Winston and their cat Cleo.
