Hello all! I’m excited to be a part of the Peace of Mind team. I’m entering my fifth year as a special education teacher and my first year working in Richland One. I have experience working with elementary to college age students and have completed Orton-Gillingham training. I started my professional career working with a local center for independent living teaching independent living and self advocacy skills. I quickly learned I loved being in a classroom and decided to go back to school for my masters in special education. I completed my masters degree at USC in 2021 (go gamecocks!) and had the privilege of working with the CarolinaLIFE program throughout my time there. From there I jumped into the classroom at a high school in Lex/Rich 5. I now work with elementary age students but I have a passion for all age groups. Outside of work you can find me at local events with my husband and my toddler (usually wearing running shoes so I can keep up with my little one!)
