Bryan Hearn has worked in middle and high schools for twenty-seven years. He began his career as a 7th grade math teacher, but also taught 8th grade and 9th grade prior to becoming an administrator. He has served as assistant principal, career and technology director, and principal of secondary schools in Charleston and Columbia.

Currently, Bryan works as an assistant principal at A.C. Flora High School here in Columbia. Throughout his career, he has never lost the love of the math classroom nor his passion for math education in general - specifically working with individuals and small groups to improve basic math skills through geometry.

Bryan and his wife Liza have four children between them, but are only a couple years away from being empty nesters.
